I wanted to create a quick video on my electrolyte powder and one very important point about it.

I know a lot of you are doing keto and are on the electrolyte powder, that’s great. But, what you need to know is that this product is not a sodium replacement product.

If you’re doing exercise, you’re mainly losing sodium. You’ll lose some of the other electrolytes too, but you’re primarily losing sodium.

If you think you’re going to replace all of your electrolytes with this electrolyte powder, you may end up with a sodium deficiency.

Symptoms of a sodium deficiency:

• Muscle weakness
• Fatigue
• Brain fog
• Cramps
• Salt cravings
• Headaches

If you take this product, you should already be taking enough salt.

I created this product based on what most people are deficient in, which is potassium and magnesium. Most people usually have too much sodium already.

But, if you’re on the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting, and you’re exercising—you’re going to have to emphasize sea salt.

Potassium and sodium actually work together. So, if you’re already deficient in sodium, taking more potassium could throw off your ratios and magnify your deficiency.

The simple solution is to make sure you’re always taking enough salt. If you’re on keto and are doing intermittent fasting, you should be taking at least one teaspoon of sea salt per day. If you’re exercising, you may need a lot more.
